Lenz — Chat Analyzer ("Lenz", "the App", "we", "our") is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze text conversations and generate relationship insight reports. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Data
We use Sign in with Apple for authentication. When you sign in, we receive:
- A unique Apple user identifier (anonymous, not linked to your Apple ID)
- Your name and email address — only if you choose to share them. Apple allows you to hide your real email by using a private relay address.
We never receive your Apple ID password.
1.2 Chat Data
When you request an analysis, the text messages from your selected conversation are sent to our server. We process:
- Text content of messages only
- Message timestamps and sender names (used to determine conversation dynamics)
We do not process or access:
- Photos, videos, voice messages, or other media
- Contact lists or phone numbers
- Files or documents shared in the chat
- Messages from chats you have not explicitly selected
1.3 Purchase Data
All purchases are processed by Apple through In-App Purchases. We receive a transaction receipt from Apple to verify your purchase and grant credits. We do not receive or store your payment information, credit card number, or billing address.
1.4 Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not collect:
- We do not collect device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV)
- We do not collect location data
- We do not use analytics SDKs or third-party trackers
- We do not collect browsing history or app usage patterns
- We do not display advertisements or share data with advertisers
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely for the following purposes:
- Generating analysis reports: Your chat text is sent to an AI service to produce a personalized relationship insight report.
- Storing your reports: Completed reports are stored on our server so you can access them again after reinstalling the app.
- Managing your account: Your Apple user ID is used to associate purchases and reports with your account.
- Processing purchases: We verify Apple In-App Purchase receipts to grant report credits.
- Providing support: If you contact us, we may use your email to respond.
3. Third-Party Data Processing
This is an important section. When you request a chat analysis, your data is processed by a third-party AI service:
Anthropic (Claude AI)
Your anonymized chat text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Specifically:
- The text is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connection
- Anthropic processes the text to generate the analysis report
- Anthropic does not store your data after processing the request
- Your data is not used to train, improve, or fine-tune AI models
- No personally identifiable information is sent — the AI receives only message text, timestamps, and first names

We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- Chat text: Temporarily stored on our server during analysis (typically 30–60 seconds). Automatically deleted after the report is generated.
- Analysis reports: Stored on our server and associated with your anonymous user ID. Retained until you delete your account.
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Server location: Our servers are located in Russia. Data transmitted to Anthropic for AI processing may be processed in the United States.
5. Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- Open the App → More → Delete Account
- Confirm deletion
When you delete your account:
- All your reports are permanently deleted from our servers
- All your purchase history and credits are permanently deleted
- Your Apple Sign In token is revoked
- Your anonymous user ID and all associated data are erased
- This action is irreversible
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data:
- All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain (hardware-encrypted storage)
- Server access is restricted and monitored
- We follow the principle of minimal data collection
7. Children's Privacy
Lenz is rated 17+ and is not intended for children under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, specifically:
- Our server (Russia) — for account management and report storage
- Anthropic servers (United States) — for AI-powered analysis
- Apple servers (United States) — for authentication and purchase verification
These transfers are necessary to provide the service. We ensure that data is protected during transfer through encryption and contractual obligations.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: You can view your reports within the App at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete all your data through the in-app account deletion feature.
- Portability: Your analysis reports are accessible within the App.
- Objection: You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
