How do I export a chat from WhatsApp?

Open the chat in WhatsApp → Tap the contact name at the top → Scroll down → "Export Chat" → Choose "Without Media" → Share the .txt file with Lenz. You can also use the Share menu to send the file directly to the App.

How do I export a chat from Telegram?

In Lenz, tap the "+" button → "From Telegram" → Sign in with your phone number and verification code (same as Telegram app). Then select the conversation you want to analyze. Only private chats are shown — group chats and channels are filtered out.

How long does the analysis take?

Typically 30–60 seconds. You can close the app while the analysis is running — your report will be saved and available when you return.

Is my data safe? Who can see my messages?

Your privacy is our top priority. Only the text of messages is processed — no photos, videos, or contacts. The text is sent to an AI service (Anthropic Claude) over an encrypted connection for analysis. It is not stored after the report is generated and is not used to train AI models. We cannot see who you are chatting with. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What are credits and how do purchases work?

One credit = one analysis report. You can buy credits in the App through Apple In-App Purchases. Credits are consumable and tied to your account. Available packages: 1 report, 5 reports, or 15 reports.

How do I restore purchases on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID you used before. Your credit balance and previously generated reports will be automatically restored. You can also go to More → Restore Purchases.

How do I delete my account and all data?

Go to More → Delete Account → Confirm. This permanently deletes all your reports, purchase history, credits, and account data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

Why is the report in English?

The AI analysis is currently generated in English regardless of the chat language. This ensures the highest quality analysis. We plan to support more languages in future updates.

The analysis is taking too long or an error occurred

If your analysis seems stuck or returns an error, please try again. Our servers may be temporarily under heavy load. If the problem persists, make sure you have a stable internet connection and try again in a few minutes. Your credit will not be consumed if the analysis fails. If the issue continues, contact us.

Is the AI analysis accurate?

Lenz uses advanced AI to identify communication patterns and dynamics in text. However, AI analysis has limitations — it cannot detect sarcasm, cultural nuances, or context that exists outside the text. Reports should be used as a starting point for reflection, not as definitive assessments. For serious relationship concerns, we recommend consulting a qualified professional.
